Fall Comfort Foods: Baked Fondue
The leaves are turning, the temperature is dropping and we are ready for ALL of the comfort food of fall. As long as there’s cheese involved…
This baked fondue with sausage, crackers and pickles for dipping is an absolutely incredible alternative to soup or mac and cheese. If you’re anything like me, you love snacks! Snacking my way through dinner is my favorite way to go. So, try this recipe that I found on Olive Magazine and tell us how it turns out!
I may have tweaked the ingredients a bit to include our wonderful local cheeses 🙂 See shopping list below.
Baked Cheese Fondue
Preheat oven to 350.
Toss the Guyere with the 1 Tsp. cornflour in a bowl. Gradually mash in the remaining cheeses and 1 Tbsp whole milk until fairly uniform, then stir in 1 Tbsp chives and season to taste.
Put mixture into an ovenproof bowl and heat for 20-25 minutes or until bubbling and golden. Broil for a few minutes while watching closely if you would like a little crisp on top. Sprinkle the chives on top and serve with pickles, summer sausage and crackers or bread for dipping!
